Description of Incident:
The Danville Fire Department was called to the 1200 Blk of Martin Street at 09:40 AM on Thursday, January 30, 2025. Upon arrival firefighters reported seeing smoke coming from the eaves of the structure. Once firefighters entered the building, they quickly located a small fire in the rear of the building and extinguished the fire. A search of the building yielded no results.
The home was in disrepair, did not have utility service and was not in normal use.
The Fire Department, along with the Danville Police Department, is investigating the fire. The fire is considered to be incendiary.
