Vermilion County Dept of Animal Regulation has EXCITING news! 2/1/25 Vermilion County Rabies Licensing Program is getting a face lift! Out with the old metal tags and in with new multifunctional tags! Not only will these new tags keep you and your pets in compliance with local and state laws, these tags will double as a way to get your best friend back home faster if it gets away!
With the new PetHub tags, if your pet gets away from you and is wearing its PetHub ID tag, the finder of your pet can scan your pets tag with their cell phone and contact you right away! Don’t want your information public? That’s ok! You can choose to keep your information private when you register your pet! Instead of your phone number, the finder will get the phone number to PetHub which will call you right away to let you know your pet has been found and where to pick it up! How awesome is that!
By updating to PetHub tags, we hope less animals will find their way to the shelter and instead, find their way back home where they belong!
