Vermilion County, IL — Keep Vermilion County Beautiful (KVCB), a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to improving local environmental sustainability is encouraging community members to get involved through new membership opportunities and volunteer initiatives aimed at creating a cleaner, greener Vermilion County.
KVCB is working to expand its efforts to tackle litter, advocate for recycling programs, and enhance the beauty of public spaces across the county. “KVCB’s mission is to empower individuals and organizations to take active roles in keeping Vermilion County beautiful,” said Katie Osterbur, incoming Keep Vermilion County Beautiful
President. “We’re excited to welcome new members and volunteers who share our vision for a cleaner, healthier community.”
Membership Opportunities
KVCB offers affordable annual memberships for individuals, families, businesses, and organizations, providing direct support to countywide beautification efforts. Membership levels include:
• Corporate Membership ($1,000+) – Includes an opportunity for two representatives to join the Board of Directors, eligibility for a $1,000 Beautification Grant, and
recognition on KVCB’s website, social media, and newsletter. Additionally, corporate members receive assistance with one community event of their choice each year.
• Business Membership ($150+) – Includes one representative on the Board of Directors, eligibility for a $500 Beautification Grant, and website recognition.
• Church or Nonprofit Membership ($100+) – Provides an opportunity for one representative on the Board of Directors and eligibility for a $500 Beautification Grant.
• Neighborhood Association Membership ($50+) – Includes eligibility for a $200 Beautification Grant and a seat for one representative on the Board of Directors.
• Residential Membership ($50+) – Open to individuals who want to support beautification efforts, with eligibility for a $200 Beautification Grant and a chance to serve on the Board.
• Honor Membership ($250+) – Allows members to honor an individual who has been a loyal supporter of KVCB, with recognition on the Honor Roll on KVCB’s website and social media.
Volunteer Opportunities
KVCB is actively seeking volunteers to participate in upcoming programs and events. Whether it’s organizing cleanups, assisting with tree plantings, or educating the community about waste reduction, there’s a role for everyone. By giving time and effort, volunteers make a tangible difference in preserving the natural beauty of Vermilion County.
