DANVILLE — Vermilion County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance identifying a suspect in a credit card theft.
On Dec. 23, 2024, a woman dropped her wallet while shopping at Village Mall.
The next day, she received notifications that her cards were used at multiple area businesses.
Danville police are asking for the public’s help identifying a woman captured on camera.
Anyone who can identify the suspect is encouraged to contact Vermilion County Crime Stoppers at 217-373-TIPS, vccrimstoppers.org or via the P3 Tips mobile app.
Tipsters are always 100 percent anonymous when contacting Crime Stoppers and receive a code number to check on rewards.
All tips submitted to Crime Stoppers are electronically stripped of any personally identifying information and processed by a third-party answering service.
Tipsters could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and do not have to share their name or appear in court.
Rewards are also paid for information on other felony crimes or fugitives in Vermilion County.
