Vermilion Advantage President and CEO Mike Marron said they also have a state lobby day in Springfield on March 12 that this issue will be a priority. He said they want the IDOC and Raoul to do the right thing. He said they hope they make enough noise that the state backs off of reopening the firing range.
The letter Vermilion Advantage plans to send to Raoul is to include safety and security concerns, environmental and health risks, public trust and community sentiment, lack of transparency and community engagement, impact on rehabilitation efforts, and impact on future development in the area.
