An investigation is continuing into a fatal Thursday night (February 20, 2025) head-on collision in Warren County, Indiana. Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to a report of a crash involving injuries along U. S. 41, south of CR 850 N Road shortly before 7:30 p.m.
The crash claimed the life of 52-year-old Kelly Barnett of Citronelle, Alabama. Warren County Sheriff’s Police say the preliminary investigation found that Barnett had been traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of the highway. Her vehicle struck one operated by 48-year-old Sterling Zachery of Chicago. Zachery and six other occupants of his vehicle – including three children – were transported to area hospitals for treatment of injuries.
An Indiana State Police Crash Reconstruction Team is assisting with the investigation.
