On March 2, 2025, at approximately 10:52 p.m., Westville Police Officers were dispatched to the 1800 block of N. State St. in Westville for a report of a motor vehicle accident. Callers reported that there were multiple unresponsive subjects possibly entrapped in the vehicle.
Upon arrival Officers found a vehicle that had left the roadway, struck several trees, and travelled down an embankment into a ditch. Three subjects were in the process of exiting the vehicle. All subjects reported no injuries and refused medical care on scene.
After further investigation, Officers arrested the driver, identified as Brandon J Scott of Tilton, IL for driving under the influence of alcohol.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The public is reminded that all suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
