If you are making plans for later in March, the Vermilion County Conservation District reminds you that the annual Maple Syrup Fest at the Forest Glen Preserve is coming up on Sunday, March 16th. It will run from 10 AM to 2 PM, and the Conservation District’s Laura Danzl says the fun events from recent Maple Syrup Fests are all back.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: We’re going to have the same activities as we’ve done the previous two years. You can go on a guided hike, do a craft in the nature center, get to see a ‘tap a tree’ demonstration, check out the sugar bush, and take a tour of the cabin. And then, we’ll also have the French toast and sausage baskets for six dollars each.
Danzl says you may come and go anytime you like; between 10 AM and 2 PM; Sunday, March 16th at Forest Glen.
