The group INDIVISIBLE VERMILION COUNTY is inviting residents to join them at a “Rally for Democracy” in front of the Champaign County Courthouse in Urbana at 11 AM this Saturday (March 29th). Spokesperson DeeAnn Ryan says there’s going to be a carpool over to the rally from Danville, and anyone who wants to participate in that should meet at the Roselawn / Three Kings of Peace Fitness Center at 9:30 Saturday morning.
Ryan says “Indivisible” chapters started forming all over the state when extreme worry began about what ICE, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, might be doing to undocumented immigrants when they would show up in communities, and especially at schools. Ryan addressed the District 118 School Board about that earlier this year.

Now, Ryan says, that concern has expanded to what Elon Musk’s DOGE, Department of Government Efficiency group, has been up to.

Ryan says the “National Indivisible Day of Protest” will be on Saturday, April 5th. And Vermilion County’s group will be having their own rally right in front of the VA Illiana Health Care Medical Center.
Indivisible Vermilion County meets at 6:30 PM, on the third Monday of every month, at the Roselawn / Three Kings of Peace Fitness Center.
