UPDATE: Event moved to Walnut Street Parking Garage due to possible rain.
We have switched the calendar over to April, and that means it is once again FIRST FRIDAYS time in Downtown Danville. The Super 5K Run and Walk will be talking place from 5 to 8 PM Friday evening April 4th, with the actual race beginning at 6 PM. The City of Danville’s Rheanna Ollis and Caleb Bryant joined Tommy B on D102’s “The Big Show.” They both agreed that most likely lots of participants will show up Friday night to register for the event on site. After all, that’s how it went last year.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: (Caleb) And then the race will start at 6 PM. Registration, you can be there; get there early because there’s going to be a lot of people. (Rheanna) I was at the registration table last year, and we had 100 to 150 people walk up. I mean we were swamped from 5 o’clock to 6:30.
