DANVILLE — Re-elected Danville District 118 School Board member Darlene Halloran said among the outstanding issues the board continues to work on include an uncompleted settlement agreement with former Superintendent Alicia Geddis.
This will be Halloran’s third four-year term serving on the board. She was the top vote getter with 1,854 votes in Tuesday’s election for four open seats. She was followed by Toni Towne receiving 1,642 votes and Chris Easton receiving 1,513 votes. For write-ins, 592 write-in votes went to Halloran’s husband, Tom. Write-in votes still are coming in later this week in the county for Tom and Harsha Gurujal, who had 254 write-in votes in the city of Danville.
Darlene Halloran said about Geddis’ settlement, a separation agreement for her to retire from the district, “there is a proposal out for us to look at. There are concerns about some of what we saw. Those things are being looked into.”
