A hearing scheduled for 10 AM Friday (April 4th) morning at the Vermilion County Courthouse will be the next step in the State of Illinois’ attempt to reopen the shooting range at the Danville Correctional Center state prison. As Vermilion Advantage CEO Mike Marron explains, the Danville City Council may have passed a non-binding resolution against this; but the state is continuing with the process, which would start with reversing the permanent injunction passed back in the mid-90s that closed the shooting range.

Friday morning’s proceedings will most likely set a timeline for getting a final verdict on this issue.
