The “It Takes a Village Mentorship” Basketball and Cheer Camp is once again coming to the David S. Palmer Arena on Saturday, April 26th. The Cheer Camp, being led this year by the Danville High School Cheerleading Squad, will run from 9 AM to Noon and is for kindergarteners through 8th graders. The Basketball Camp will run from 1 PM to 4 PM, and will be for 3rd through 8th graders.
Pastor LeStan Hoskins from Danville’s Mosaic City Church says there’s a brand new line-up of participants this year.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: Brandon Hoskins, he’s a 7th grade coach at North Ridge, he’s going to be working with athletes in our community. And we’ll have coaches and others as well available to work with athletes. We’ll have principals, we’ll have insurance agents; we’ll have pastors. So we’re just trying to bring our city together to create something positive where families can come enjoy themselves. We’ll have food trucks; and we’re going to have desserts.
To register, find the flyers on the It Takes a Village Mentorship Facebook Page, or reach It Takes a Village Mentorship through Messenger. Meijer is this year’s main sponsor. Please try to sign up by the day before the camp; Friday, April 25th.
