THE FOLLOWING IS A WESTVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE

RE: Alcohol Sales Compliance Check
On Saturday April 5, 2025, Westville Police Department, in partnership with agents from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission conducted an alcohol sales compliance enforcement detail.
These operations are crucial to ensuring that all licensees are consistently checking identification prior to any sale of alcohol, to prevent a sale to an underage person. These operations are conducted without prior notification to licensees.
During these operations, the employee who performed the sale is issued a citation by Westville Police Department. Agents from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission will then issue a fine to the establishment.

Westville Police Department would like to remind all licensees of their responsibility to ensure compliance with all alcohol sales regulations, including vigilantly checking identification, in order to help keep our community safe.
We would also like to recognize those licensees that showed their dedication to that responsibility, doing their part to keep our community safe by preventing the sale of alcohol to underage patrons.
