DANVILLE — Those hoping for a quick turnaround for Ollie’s to open in the former Big Lots in Danville will have to wait a bit.
“At this point, we expect the store to open in the late fall,” according to Tom Kuypers, senior vice president of marketing and advertising with Ollie’s Bargain Outlet Inc.
He said they expect to be hiring in the next few months.
“It’s difficult to say at this point when we’ll be recruiting, but it should be a few months before opening,” Kuypers said. “We typically hire about 40 to 50 folks for the opening. Our store hours are standardized and are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.”
He said notification of the grand opening will be sent as it gets closer to the date.
An Ollie’s banner is already hanging on the building at 20 N. Gilbert St.
