THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
Danville, April 7, 2025 – The City of Danville, in partnership with Place Foundry, is developing a Comprehensive Plan to shape the city’s future growth and development. As part of this effort, we are launching a public engagement period to gather input and encourage community involvement. Place Foundry is a development partner who will be guiding the public engagement sessions and providing the final Comprehensive Plan.
To get involved, visit our project website, take the community survey, and attend any of the four public workshops designed to give residents multiple opportunities to share their perspectives and help decide what’s possible in Danville.
“This initiative represents our commitment to inclusive decision-making and ensuring community voices are heard,” said Rheanna Ollis, Community Relations Administrator. “We encourage all residents to participate through one or more of these engagement opportunities.”
The community engagement initiative includes:
• Interactive Website: A dedicated landing page at danville2050.org where residents can access information about the initiative, view project materials, and find ways to
participate.
• Community Survey: An online survey available at danville2050.org/survey designed to collect valuable feedback on community facilities and amenities. The survey will remain open until June and takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
• Public Workshops: A series of four public workshops held throughout Danville where community members can participate in facilitated discussions and interactive activities.
These meetings are spread out within Danville, but the content will be the same so community members can choose dates, times, and locations that are convenient for them.
Community engagement sessions will begin on April 23 and 24th with more information to come.
