THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE ROTARY RELEASE
For the last 25 years, the Danville Rotary Club has lined Vermilion Street in Danville with American flags to honor our heroes over Memorial Day weekend. Each flag can include the name of a passed service member or anyone that you choose to honor. Your donation allows you to either name veterans or civilians for the flag, or we can choose heroes chosen by the War Museum for you to memorialize. Flags are available for purchase through May 19, 2025.
Proceeds from this event will go to support the Vermilion County War Museum, the Sparky Songer Scholarship at DACC and community projects by the Danville Rotary Club. The Danville Rotary Club was founded on November 1, 1915 and has served the Danville Area for over 100 years with the motto, “Service Above Self”.

Interested in helping to place the flags along Vermilion Street? Join Us on May 23, 2025. Start time 8:00 am. Meeting place is Schlarman Academy Parking Lot (South Campus).
The club meets at Worksource Enterprises on Vermilion Street on the First Monday of each month. All are welcome.
