DANVILLE — Trying to float cardboard boats in Danville High School’s swimming pool — what could go wrong?
Well, honors geometry students learned some of the things they did right and wrong with the return of the event last year after a COVID-19 break.
This was just one of the projects highlighted at the Danville Public School Foundation’s annual 365 Club Breakfast Program Thursday morning at Turtle Run Banquet Center.
DHS Teacher Mitch Thomas and students Kahjeemah Williams and Samantha Brown talked about the fun end-of-year event.
Thomas said the boat regatta started many years ago. He pushes the students hard all year and the event is a fun way to end the school year.
