First Fridays: Sports & Brews is returning to Temple Plaza on May 2, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. Get ready for an evening full of ballers, brews, bites, beats, and
beards!
Whether you’re into sinking putts, shooting goals, or just swapping stories with friends over a craft beer, this event is designed with you in mind. Attendees will have the chance to meet and interact with local athletic organizations including the Danville Area Soccer Association, Vermilion Valley FCA, Danville Tennis Center, and Danville Youth Hockey. It’s a great way to get involved or just show off your skills.
The event will feature craft brews from local favorites, along with a variety of interactive activities such as a 9-hole mini golf course, a jousting ring for just $5.00/person, and a sports themed bounce house for the kids.
As the sun sets, the energy rises with live music from BorderTown & Co., kicking off the outdoor concert season in style as part of the city’s First Fridays series. Sports & Brews steps up as the first live music event of the season.
No night is complete without food, and Sports & Brews delivers. Fuel up on mouthwatering bites from Juanito’s Tacos and Norah’s Smokehouse, then cool off with the family at Kona Ice.
And for the boldest dads in the crowd, the Beard & Dad-Outfit Contest offers bragging rights and prizes. Think socks with sandals, epic fanny packs, and BBQ stains. The winner takes home a trophy and a $200 Lowe’s gift card.
