GEORGETOWN — Penny Holycross has been a staple at Georgetown Township for 28 years, 24 years being the go-to lady as supervisor.
She’s founder of the 20-year Georgetown Food Pantry and has helped numerous residents with issues through the years.
She’s facing health issues, having cancer, and is retiring in May.
Holycross said she can’t believe she’s been supervisor for 24 years.
She’s loved interacting with all the people.
Holycross started at the township, which oversees Georgetown, Westville and Belgium, working four years as assistant to the supervisor.
