THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
The City of Danville would like to announce the complete lane closure on the southbound lane on South Walnut to South Street starting Thursday morning May 1, 2025, and lasting until approximately 4:00 PM Friday, May 2, 2025. A paving contractor will be providing a bituminous surface overlay of the southbound lane along the curved roadway from Reiker Court adjacent to the David S. Palmer Arena to the west entrance roadway at the Public Safety Building on South Street.
This closure will impact only on motorists traveling southbound on Walnut Street and all northbound motorists will not be impacted. Detour signage has been placed to use South Jackson Street to South Street around the lane closure. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to use caution while traveling near the roadway closure corridor.
