Once again this year Danville’s Mosaic City Church is bringing the Anti-Violence Basketball Tournament to the David S. Palmer Arena. It all begins at 9 AM on Saturday, May 31st; and runs through the day. This is for boys and girls kindergarten through 12th grade; and Pastor LeStan Hoskins says this fifth annual event, previously held in Garfield Park, will once again be a way to start youngsters off on the right foot coming out of the school year; especially when it comes to how to behave, and how to speak.
AUDIO: You know, we’ve got to give the kids a positive outlook. Going into the summer, sometimes the youth can make bad decisions. So we want to get them going into the summer; we’re going to give them a positive message; on how to deal with conflict, talk to them; and try to encourage them to have a safe summer. Hopefully, we can reduce violence, and them making negative decision.
Players will be paired up according to talent levels. To sign up, just go to the Danville Mosaic City Church Facebook Page.
