Danville, IL — May 01, 2025— Angie Lazzell, CEO of the United Way of Danville Area, is proud to announce that the 2025 Community Impact Grant Application process officially opens on May 1, 2025. Local nonprofit agencies serving Vermilion County, Illinois, and Fountain and Warren Counties in Indiana are invited to apply for funding.
“For more than 97 years, United Way of Danville Area has stood alongside our community, responding to immediate needs and building long-term solutions,” said Angie Lazzell. “We are excited to launch this new application cycle and continue our work with the incredible agencies who make a lasting difference in the lives of our neighbors.”
Grant applications must align with one of United Way’s four key pillars:
Healthy Community: Improving health and well-being through access to medical, mental health, and food resources.
Youth Opportunity: Supporting children and families to ensure success in school and beyond.
Financial Security: Promoting economic independence through crisis support, job training, and homelessness prevention.
Community Resiliency: Strengthening our region by addressing urgent community needs and preparing for future challenges.
Nonprofit organizations applying must hold 501(c)(3) status and meet agency obligations, including participation in quarterly meetings, financial transparency, cooperation with community partners, and engagement in United Way’s annual campaign efforts.

Applications must be submitted by May 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Late applications will not be considered.
