Matthew Broderick and Alan Ruck from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off may reunite in a comedy film, The Best Is Yet To Come, directed by Jon Turteltaub. The movie, based on a French film, will feature the duo in a story about best friends embarking on a road trip to find an estranged son amidst a ticking clock and life’s missed opportunities. Fox has canceled Rescue HI-Surf after one season due to declining viewership. The planned Baywatch reboot was speculated as a potential factor.
