Thursday, May 8th was officially named Frank Williams Day, on the 90th birthday of the former District 118 head custodian; who retired in 2010 after 34 years of service to the district. There was a big ceremony right in front of Custard Cup, and Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr read the proclamation.

AUDIO: When I saw kids streaking their tennis shoes along the floor leaving big black marks, all I had to say to then was, “Do you know who cleans that up. Frank cleans that up!” Then it’s “OH, I’M SORRY I’M SORRY!” And they’re down on their knees cleaning it up. That’s the respect they have for this man.
