THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
The Danville Police Department received a 911 call on Monday, 5/12/25, around 10:30 p.m. that a subject had been shot in the 900 block of Oak St. Officers arrived to find a victim with a single gunshot wound.
The 19-year-old male victim was shot while he was inside a residence. Officers located several high-caliber bullet casings at the scene.
The victim was transported to an Urbana hospital, where he was listed in stable but critical condition.
