THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
On Sunday evening, 5/18/2205, around 11:00 p.m., a Danville Police Officer stopped a vehicle around Jackson and Williams Street for a registration violation. The driver was found to have a suspended driver’s license in Illinois.
The officers identified a passenger in the vehicle, a 31-year-old Ebonnie Bryant, who listed a home address in Danville. During further investigation of the stop, officers located an illegally transported firearm inside the vehicle along with a controlled substance.
Officers arrested Bryant, and she was transported to the Vermilion County Public Safety Building, where she was booked on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The Danville Police Department reminds the public that all subjects arrested are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
