THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
The Danville Police Department responded to a 911 call in the 1000 block of Glenwood Street on Wednesday, 5/21/25, around 9:15 p.m. for the report of shots being fired. Officers also heard shots at the same time of the 911 call while they were in the area.
Officers learned that a house and a vehicle in that area were struck by bullets. Officers located at least 4 shell casings in the roadway in the same area, along with small bullet fragments. There were no injuries reported. DPD has no leads on this incident.
At around 4:00 a.m. the next morning, 5/22/25, DPD officers responded to the area of Glenwood and English for the report of shots fired. Officers were unable to locate any evidence of a shooting from this reported incident. Vermilion County 911 Communications advised that two different people called in about this separate incident.
