DANVILLE — Danville City Council Ward 7 Alderman Bob Iverson often was on double duty at city council meetings.
He was well versed on the packet of agenda items to take action as an alderman, but he also often set up his radio recording device, too, in the media section of the city council chambers audience area to record the meeting action.
Fellow aldermen and others in the community say he will be missed as a hands-on alderman and friend to many.
Iverson, 74, died Thursday at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
He was one of the original aldermen who served when the city government changed to mayor-alderman in 1987.
