THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY CORONER’S OFFICE RELEASE
Danville, IL- The Vermilion County Coroner, Jane McFadden stated that an early morning vehicle accident on US Route 150 at the I-74 interchange involving two vehicles resulted in the death of a 60-year-old Danville man. The victim has been identified as Robert J. Wilson.
The accident occurred at approximately 01:33 a.m. Mr. Wilson’s family was notified and an autopsy was scheduled for this morning. The Illinois State Police and the Vermilion County Coroner’s office continue to investigate.

Illinois State Police have confirmed that an early morning accident, around 1:31 AM, has led to one driver fatality and one driver being airlifted to an area hospital.
Reports are stating that a Chevrolet Equinox was driving the wrong way, westbound in the eastbound lanes, on US -150 between Henning Road and I – 74. The vehicle struck an eastbound vehicle head-on, and the driver of the eastbound vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office is handling the autopsy and notification of relatives for the eastbound driver.
