ABOVE: Custard Cup SCOOPS OF LOVE check presentations from August of 2024 to Danville Youth Hockey, CASA of Vermilion County, and the St. James Food Pantry.
On Sunday, June 8th at 1 PM; Custard Cup owner Andrew Seibert and his team will once again be presenting SCOOPS OF LOVE checks to area organizations based upon donations from Custard Cup customers, with $1,000 in donations being matched by Custard Cup.
A new organization is chosen each month. And the first three recipients of the season this Sunday will be the Humane Society of Danville, the St. James Food Pantry, and the It Takes a Village Mentorship; receiving a total of just under $7,000.
Custard Cup’s Andrew Seibert says SCOOPS OF LOVE is bringing out the best in Custard Cup customers.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: Customers continue to support it. We’re just really grateful to the community for embracing this, and enjoying it as much as we are; really grateful to be able to put support back into the community. Last year we put $16,000 back in, and this year we’re on track to probably do about $20,000 for the season.
For Pastor LeStan Hoskins of the It Takes a Village Mentorship, it’s wonderful to be thought of by the customers.
Audio PlayerAUDIO: We’re just so grateful and fortunate for our community’s generosity; in helping us continue to make a difference in the lives of the students in our school district.
Custard Cup has a new application for non-profits for this year’s SCOOPS OF LOVE. By the way, this month’s recipient is the Vermilion County Handicapped Association.
