OAKWOOD — When Oakwood schools reopen for the 2025-26 school year, it will be with a new superintendent.
The school board voted Tuesday to hire Andrew Jordan, a former administrator in the Donovan school district in Iroquois County, as its new leader. Jordan’s new position won’t be far away from the administrative posts he’s held the past six years — about 64 miles away.
Jordan, who was named Illinois principal of the year in the Corn Belt region in 2022, will succeed Bill Mulvaney, who served as interim superintendent during the past school year.
Jordan starts his new duties on July 1.
