An investigation continues into a Saturday afternoon (June 7, 2025) crash along the Catlin-Tilton Road which claimed the life of a cyclist. Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden has identified the victim as 22-year-old Michael Denton of Danville.
McFadden says Denton was riding his motorcycle along the Catlin-Tilton Road around 3:40 p.m. on Saturday when it crashed. Illinois State Police, along with Vermilion County Sheriff’s Police and the Vermilion County Coroner’s office are investigating the tragedy.
The coroner says an autopsy is scheduled this week. The Catlin-Tilton Road was closed for a while after the crash but it has since re-opened. No other information was immediately released.
