DENVER BRONCOS’ TRENT SHERFIELD HOSTS 5TH ANNUAL FREE YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP IN HOMETOWN — NOW FEATURING GIRLS-ONLY SKILLS SESSION AND EXPANDED EVENING FORMAT UNDER THE LIGHTS
DANVILLE, IL – Danville native and Denver Broncos wide receiver Trent Sherfield is proud to announce the 5th Annual Free Youth Football Camp, returning on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Danville High School. Celebrating five years of impact, this year’s camp expands with a Girls-Only Skills Session in the morning and a multi-level evening camp format, concluding with a high school session under the lights.
Morning Session – Girls Only Skills Camp
New this year, a Girls-Only Skills Session will be held from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM, open to incoming 6th–12th grade girls. In alignment with the national momentum behind girls flag football, this session focuses on skill development, teamwork, and confidence building in a supportive and high energy environment.
Evening Session – Grade-Level Breakdown
The evening portion of the camp kicks off at 5:00 PM, structured to offer focused instruction and engagement for each age group:
5:00 PM – 3rd to 5th Grade Session
6:00 PM – 6th to 8th Grade Session
7:30 PM – High School Session (under the lights)
Each session will be led by Sherfield, alongside current and former Division I athletes and trusted community leaders, giving participants an elite-style training experience that focuses on fundamentals, discipline, and mentorship.
This free event provides youth from across the region with hands-on access to positive role models, athletic development, and exposure to the values of hard work and leadership. The evening format offers a vibrant, game-like atmosphere—particularly for high school participants training under the lights.
“The 5th year of this camp means a lot to me,” said Sherfield. “In partnership with my nonprofit, Diamonds Amongst the Rough, we’re committed to offering opportunities that refine the future for young athletes. This is about more than football—it’s about investing in our kids and our community.”
