The 2025 edition of Balloons Over Vermilion at Vermilion Regional Airport is less than a month away. Carly Goodwin, who co-chairs the event along with Jackie Vinson, recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. She said there will be the annual loads of family fun. But as always, with cooperation from Mother Nature, the top goal will be balloon launches both nights at 6:30 PM, followed by the balloon glows at 8 PM.
AUDIO: We could not do it without our sponsors and our volunteers and our steering committee. Like I said, there’s just a whole crew behind the event. It’s really cool to see the community come together to be able to support this each year. So, the balloons are scheduled to fly at 6:30 each night; again, weather dependent. We’ll have a pilot meeting where they’ll see how the wind speeds are. But our gates open at 3 PM each day, and there’s a huge kids zone; where there’s inflatables, a zip line, soccer, arts & crafts.
This year’s Balloons Over Vermilion will be Friday, July 11th and Saturday, July 12th. To hear all of Tommy B’s BOV interview with Carly Goodwin, please go to https://vermilioncountyfirst.com/big-show-bites-podcast/
