THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY CONSERVATION DISTRICT RELEASE
Danville, IL – The Vermilion County Conservation District will offer the second of four Nature at Night Educational Series, “Illinois Bats,” on Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 7:30 – 9pm at the Kennekuk Education Center, Kennekuk County Park.
Often misunderstood, bats are incredibly beneficial wildlife in our ecosystems. Learn about their amazing adaptations with an indoor presentation, followed by a short hike outside to see them in flight. An echo-location acoustic device will help identify any bats around us.
Space is limited with pre-registration required at $5/person, https://NatNBats.eventbrite.com. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
The remaining two Nature at Night Educational Series are also open now for registration, $5/person at https://tinyurl.com/3yu8u3xx. “Nocturnal Animals” will be Friday, August 15, 2025, from 7 – 8:30pm; and “Myths, Legends, and Lore” on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 6 – 7:30pm.
