THE FOLLOWING IS A CITY OF DANVILLE RELEASE
Step right up for an evening of nostalgia, wonder, and star-spangled celebration as First Fridays brings the magic of a vintage carnival to life this Fourth of July in Downtown Danville, Illinois.
From 5:00 to 8:00 PM on July 4th, the streets will come alive with the sights and sounds of an old-fashioned carnival, complete with larger-than-life fun, bursts of laughter, and a few surprises around every corner. Feel the thrill and challenge your reflexes in games like the obstacle course, the wacky Meltdown Zone, or bounce sky-high on the bungee trampoline. Or if you are feeling lucky, try your luck as the human slot machine or duck pond game! Encounter performers who may not be as still as they seem, and don’t be surprised if your fortune is told or your balloon twists into something magical!
Wander through a world of whimsy, where face painting and hair styles brings ear-to-ear smiles, hula hoops spin in endless motion, and playful characters might just spring to life! Strike a pose at the photo booth to capture the memories, before cooling off in the splash zone, where water balloons and fun keep the summer heat at bay.
Whether you’re chasing childhood nostalgia or making new memories with the kids, The
Downtown Carnival on July 4th from 5-8 PM is where community, celebration, and Independence Day spirit all come together, only at First Fridays in Downtown Danville.
Thank you to our sponsors who make this all possible!
