THE FOLLOWING IS A VERMILION COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT RELEASE
Danville, IL — June 30, 2025 — The Vermilion County Health Department is pleased to announce the opening of a new satellite Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) clinic in Iroquois County, aimed at enhancing access to vital nutrition services for families in the region. This expansion reflects the department’s ongoing commitment to supporting the health and well-being of mothers, infants, and children up to age five.
The new clinic will operate at the Iroquois County Health Department, located at 1001 East Grant Street, Watseka, IL 60970. Services will be available on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, excluding holidays. Appointments are encouraged to ensure timely service.
WIC is a federally funded program that provides nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support, and referrals to other health services for eligible pregnant and postpartum women, infants, and children. Eligibility is based on income guidelines.
