Coming out of the holiday weekend, and one night before the opening of the carnival, Monday evening (July 7th) was a busy time at the Georgetown Fair. While the Miss Georgetown Fair Queen Pageant was happening inside the Banquet Center Building, shows were taking place over in the livestock area. And Jason and Amy Liebrandt from Fountain County, Indiana were once again there with their daughter, Fountain Central High soon-to-be senior Katie Liebrandt. She was showing pigs once again. And Katie Liebrandt says that over the years, the Georgetown Fair has become a very favorite stop for the future Agriculture Communications major.

Meanwhile, over at the grandstands, they were busily preparing for the 7 PM PING PONG DROP. Holly Howard from the Georgetown Fair Board talked about some of the summertime prizes awaiting; with both children under four, and children 4-10, participating.
AUDIO: We have slip-n-slides, we have swimming pools, balls and bats, we have bubbles, sidewalk chalk, bicycles, Indiana Beach tickets….
