DANVILLE — There were 11 candidates and the Danville District 118 School Board interviewed three, prior to making a recommendation for a newly appointed board member.
The board will act on its choice at its Wednesday meeting. The board meeting publicly starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Dr. David L. Fields Administrative Service Center, 110 E. Williams St.
In May, Pastor Thomas Miller, a board member since April 2015, stepped down from the board.
A board member must be a registered voter and reside in the district’s voting area. The new board member’s term would continue through May 12, 2027.
