DANVILLE — After multi-year breaks and teachers wondering if they would ever return to a balanced-calendar schedule, Northeast Elementary Magnet School will see teachers back on Tuesday and students on Wednesday.
The students got out of school at the start of June, so their summer break is shorter. But the three-week fall and spring breaks make up for it on the balanced-calendar school schedule.
Principal Justin Thorlton, who has worked the balanced-calendar schedule two of his six years at the school due to COVID-19 and construction of an addition to the school, welcomes going back to it.
