The President of Vermilion Advantage is back home following a visit to ViscoFan’s world headquarters in Pamplona, Spain. ViscoFan describes itself as the world leader in supplying casings for meat products which it distributes to over 100 countries. It operates a plant on Danville’s east side.
Marron says the visit to Spain was part of Vermilion Advantage’s plan to develop relationships with the county’s largest employers on a corporate leadership level. It is also to help educate Vermilion Advantage staff so the organization can be more effective in providing support.
In a news release Marron called the trip an overwhelming success. He toured ViscoFan’s main production facility, learned about the supply chain and the company’s markets. Marron added part of the discussions focused on further investment and improvements in the Danville facility.
“I strongly believe in these efforts of outreach,” said Marron. He says Vermilion Advantage is committed to creating strong relationships that will help create improvements and added investment in Vermilion County from its member businesses. “It is also a way to broaden our horizons and to find new opportunities out there in the wide world,’’ concluded Marron in the news release.
