A Saturday afternoon crash involving two motorcycles along State Road 63 in Warren County Indiana has claimed the lives of both drivers. Indiana State Police say the crash occurred just before 3:45 p.m. Saturday on State Road 63 near Baltimore Hill Road.
Names of the victims had not been released yet by the Warren County Coroner. Indiana State Police say two Harley Davidson motorcycles were traveling northbound on route 63 approaching Baltimore Hill Road when the lead motorcycle slowed to make a left turn. That cycle was subsequently struck from behind by the trailing motorcycle, causing both riders to be thrown from their motorcycles.
The rider of the lead motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by the Warren County Coroner. The rider of the trailing cycle was transported to Williamsport Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
Indiana State Police say the crash remains under investigation by a State Police Crash Reconstruction Team. No other information is available at this time.
In addition to State Police, other agencies at the scene included the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, Warren County EMS, Warren County Coroner’s Office, and local fire department personnel and first responders.
