DANVILLE — Some changes are suddenly afoot at Danville’s Schlarman Academy:
First, a familiar face will be returning in the principal’s role as the school begins its new academic year this week, in place of the new hire announced in April. Second, the school’s North Campus won’t be fielding a football team this fall.

Interim Principal Tracy Cherry will be back in charge this year, but with the interim stricken from her title.
ALSO:
Initially, Cherry was worried that the Diocese had found some fault with her recent hiring of a football coach.
But then it ended up that they don’t have enough students wanting to participate in the program, so there won’t be football this school year.
