DANVILLE — The Danville Public Library is searching for a new executive director.
Jennifer Hess had been executive director for the past six years. The library’s board of trustees had a special meeting earlier this month, and Hess was let go as of Aug. 4.
“The board decided to go in a different direction,” stated board President Mark Denman. He declined to comment further.
In Hess’ place, Ruey Sandusky is currently serving as interim director, and Brooke Truscelli is serving as interim assistant director. Truscelli also is the library’s community relations administrator.
Denman said they posted the executive director position on Friday, seeking applications through Sept. 11 or until filled.
