The Labor Day celebration being held this weekend in Westville is continuing a long tradition. It is the 114th Labor Day celebration that is sponsored again this year by the Westville Lions Club. The Lions Club and St. Mary’s Church are hosting a variety of fun activities for the public.
Carnival rides at Zamberletti Park are scheduled to start running at 6:00 p.m. Friday and noon on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The park is located along State Street – which is Illinois route one.
A Drew Baldridge Concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday (August 30, 2025) at Zamberletti Park, with cover band Neon Rodeo preceeding Drew Baldridge taking the stage.
(Limited parking for the Drew Baldridge concert will be available at Trinity United Church of Christ – across the street, north of the park. The cost to park is $10.)
St. Mary’s Church in Westville joins the fun with a car show from 4:00 until 8:00 p. m. Saturday (August 30th, 2025), music from 90s Daughter on Sunday, and a pork loin meal on Monday – Labor Day – from noon until 3:00 p.m.
Vendor Row is open at Zamberletti Park from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Saturday (August 30th, 2025) and Sunday, and from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday. There will also be a Blood Drive taking place at Zamberletti Park from 1:00 until 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Plus what is billed as a Raffle Extravaganza begins at noon Sunday, and there is a kid’s foam party (for ages 12 and under) from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. Sunday, August 31st, 2025, preceding a large fireworks show islated to begin at dusk on Sunday at Zamberletti Park. And that leads up to Monday’s Westville Labor Day Parade which is scheduled to begin at 11:30 along South State Street. (Illinois route one). This year it is a Mardi Gras themed parade.
