THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT RELEASE
On August 18, 2025, at approximately 5:10 AM, officers with the patrol division responded to Snapper’s Bar & Grill, located at 332 E Liberty Lane, for the report of a burglary that had just occurred.
Detectives immediately started an investigation into the matter and identified the suspect as David Finley of Oakwood, IL.
Detectives obtained a warrant for Finley’s Arrest on August 22, 2025.
On August 29, 2025, at approximately 2:07 PM, the Oakwood Police Department located Finley. Finley attempted to flee on foot from the officer but was taken into custody a short time later.
Finley was brought to the Vermilion County Jail and booked on his warrant.
