The STEP Recovery Center and Vermilion County ROSC Council are joining forces for an “End the Stigma” event this Saturday, 2 to 8 PM in Downtown Danville’s Temple Plaza. As the STEP Recovery Center’s Wendy Lambert explains, this concerns the stigma concerning mental health and addiction illnesses. There will be vendors and informational tables offering very important information; along with plenty to do, including music from Danville’s IN BLOOM band; and more.
AUDIO: Plus we have Bruno and Nico Davis coming to play also, with Eclipse. They’re also going to be there.
Lambert says there will also be plenty of time for reflection.
AUDIO: We’ll be doing a recovery walk around two city blocks. We will have a candlelight vigil, and other things going on too.
Lambert says please stop by Temple Plaza, for a good time and to raise awareness, again this Saturday this 6th from 2 to 8 PM.
