GEORGETOWN — It’s been quite the whirlwind for 2025 Georgetown Fair Queen Jordyn Fourez.
“This has been a crazy busy weekend,” said Karen Thornsbrough, director of the fair queen pageant.
On Friday night, Fourez was a cheerleader at a Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School football game.
Bright and early Saturday morning, Fourez was at the National Sweetcorn Festival Parade in Hoopeston for the traditional “Show Me Your Shoe.”
In the parade, queen contestants wear a shoe depicting their state like at the Miss America Pageant Parade.
Of course, Fourez had a “corn” shoe for Illinois, holding her foot up high the whole parade.
That afternoon, Fourez had fun at a photoshoot at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School with Sarah Runyan.
