Andrew Seibert is still considered as the “new owner of Custard Cup,” but his Scoops of Love initiative that provides donations for local organizations and non-profits is now very much established. Another round of Scoops of Love checks will be presented this Sunday, September 7th, outside of Custard Cup at 4 PM.
Seibert explains who the recipients will be.
AUDIO: We’ll be distributing donations out to Vermilion County Handicap Association, the Dwelling Place, and Rose’s Food for the Children. Back in, February I believe it was; we opened up an application for local non-profits to apply. I believe we had 30 apply; we selected eight of those, one per month that we’re open. Vermilion County Handicap Association and Rose’s Food for the Children are new to us for this season.
The Custard Cup Scoops of Love checks being handed out this time around will be just over $2,000 to both the Dwelling Place and the Handicap Association, and then a special $1,500 match this month from Custard Cup will have Rose’s Food for the Children receiving an over $3,000 donation.
